First of all I am a keen historical fiction loved and have read many. It didn't take me long to get through this one. The writing style is very easy to follow and it wasn't a challenging read.
As I was reading it, it definitely kept making me think that this would have been a book I would have absolutely loved reading when I was 10 (I was an advanced reader). I think this is perfect for YA if they are going to venture into the historical fiction genre.
The story itself was emotional and interesting which i find anything centred around ww2/holocaust to be. The characters were well rounded and I enjoyed reading about them all. I will be passing this book on to some younger members in my family.
