I really enjoyed this book. I found it pulls you in from the start. I particularly liked how the chapters had names of English foods and Briggittes explaination of them in each chapter. I loved how her mother had gone to the lengths to protect her during the war and how she had come to summer land hoping for a better life. I’m pleased she was able to locate her father. Really good read.
