I don’t usually read poetry, but this was written by a singer songwriter. It is divided into four distinct sections.
I like how the book is structured into four different sections as it represents a different phase of the authors journey, allowing the readers to have a deeper understanding into the experiences. It also creates a sense of progression and growth throughout the book.
One particular line that stood out to me was “ To be smart enough for our own good, that might just be the key to our human universe” It is quite a provoking line that encourages and invite readers to contemplate the complexities of our existence. It also features coloured pictures, but adds an extra layer of depth to the reading experience as it allows you to connect with the places that inspire the poems
