Having now read through the 'First Look' twice I'm sad to say that Ziggy Alberts' writing style didn't engage my interest. The synopsis describes the collection of poems as 'a poetic outpour' but what came across to me was something which was just too formless to encourage me to take up his invitation to 'to join him on a journey of personal realisations', and 'to enter a vulnerable relationship' between him as a writer and me as a reader. However, I'm sure there will be lots of potential readers who will be more appreciative!
