I've been interested in 'Sunflowers in February' ever since I first heard about it as the rough paint-style of the cover design reminded me of 'I'll Give You The Sun' (which is SUCH a good book) and it's exciting to see that 'Sunflowers in February' seems to be as good as I thought it would be. The prose initially provokes a sense of quiet detachment, and the narrative content itself stands apart from other contemporary tales. It looks like it'll be a very interesting read; not quite a ghost story, but not quite a slice-of-life contemporary either!
