Despite the theme of the story being death, it is something which is entertaining and readable, with the observations of the main character, Lily, taking the edge off for the reader because although she's dead, she's still there, still herself. However, the other characters don't get this peace of mind, but instead she has to watch them grieve her and this can be relatable for a lot of people, especially those who've lost someone close to them as it raises a lot of questions and suggests that this could be something which truly happens.
I would be interested to find out where this story goes, now that all the characters know of her death and have begun grieving, to see how they continue to process and how Lily deals with being essentially stuck in limbo.
The cover design is very nice and ties in well to the title of the book.
