I really love the cover of this book, i was drawn in by the bright yellow background, the shimmery metallic blue and deep black petals. I had to find out what this book had to offer.

The blurb wasn't disappointing, i was gripped and knew then that i needed to have this book so i could uncover the secrets it held.

The story opened with the grim and eerie discovery of Lilys passing. As the book went on i found myself struggling to put it down. It was, in my opinion, superbly written. (though i did find two typos) Phyllida Shrimpton handled the sensitive subjects so well with beautiful words that made me tear up and contemplate my own life and the lives of my own family and friends, some who are no longer living. I think this is why i got so emotional reading the book as emotions for lost loved ones are still raw for me and this book wrote about love, loss and grief in such a way that i really felt the grief and sadness Nathan, Amelia, James, Ben and Lilys family and friends felt. I found myself crying when they did, getting angry when they did and celebrating when they did.

Overall this book really moved me and it is definitely staying on my bookcase for the foreseeable future with my other books that made the keep forever cut. I can't let this book go.
