Really love this style of book. The short chapters make it perfect as you can pick up and read even if you only have a few minutes.
On the outlook you think the story will be sad and there are parts that bring this emotion, but mostly it’s such a beautiful story that twists and turns allowing you to guess the plot. Without spoiling the book, such a nice way of looking at the afterlife/limbo and gives me hope that there is time to sort any unfinished business when the time comes to pass.
Written in a mix of 1st and 3rd person really gives an all round feel to the book.
Really hope that Phyllida Shrimpton writes more books as throughly enjoyed this one, finding it hard to put down most of the time!
