The story starts with Lily finding herself at the side of the road where she gradually realises she has died. A 15 year old girl with a twin brother, she had her whole life ahead of her. The story follows Lily as she comes to terms with her death, watching her family and friends cope and learning who the driver of the car was.
She is present at her funeral and one night she takes her chance to inhabit her brother’s body. Will she swap places with him again or will she permanently take his rightful place in the living world? Will justice be served against the driver?
