This book is a debut novel from the Essex based Phyllida Shrimptom and I can tell you that it is an amazing debut novel which featured a whole load of twists and turns, which was not at all what I was expecting which led it to become my first 5 star rating of the year.
Life after death seems like a hard thing to be able to write about but Shrimpton has taken this topic under her wing and has written an amazing and compelling story that has had me hooked since I started reading it.
I have never read a book which focuses on this topic before so I wasn't sure what I was going to make of it but it turns out that it is most definitely going to be my first favourite read of 2018!
People seem to have had mixed opinions on this book and I am yet to see a review that rewarded it 5 stars. I personally couldn't put it down once I had picked it up and I flew through it in just over 2 days, prioritising it over any other book I am currently reading.
