Lily is your typical fifteen year old girl, in her little bubble of best friend, boyfriend, make up and jewellery she is perfectly happy. But when she chooses a pair of earrings over her bus fare home and gets hit by a car on the walk she gets trapped between this world and the next.

I can’t ever remember reading a book that so well describes how I imagine a parents grief at losing a child might be. It was even sad to read how the accident was affecting the cars driver (I won’t say too much here as it’s a massive part of the story). Lily’s twin brother, Ben, is equally struggling with the untimely death of his beloved sister and when he discovers she hasn’t crossed over and can use his body in this world he does not foresee the trouble ahead.

This is a lovely little book, so well written and descriptive without being at all dull. I think it might be aimed at teens but I’m 34 and loved it!
