I was worried that this would be a straight forward anti death penalty book but it is not. Instead it is a thoughtful look at the death penalty system in America from the type of execution method chosen through to the problem of ensuring that the person to be executed is guilty. The case of Richard Glossip would appear at first glance to serve as a perfect example of the iniquities of the American justice system generally and that relating to death penalty cases in particular.
