It's so refreshing to find a crime novel so well written and with such a relatable female main character. I loved the gradual reveals of all the sweet little lies that are underpinning Cat's relationship with her father and her ability to solve the case. So often childhood trauma is used as a way to break a character and it was great to see a nicely rounded character come through, immensely relatable, properly flawed, but a character you want to take to the pub and befriend. And as well as being hugely gripping and immensely readable, Sweet Little Lies was genuinely funny too!
A very strong and original new voice in the genre! I'm looking forward to reading more of her work. Let's hope she writes quickly!
