Confession time: I did not mean to read this novel - I had it confused with ‘Big Little Lies’. Oops!
Once I got over the surprise, I decided to keep reading and I’m glad I did. I was still dubious though because I sometimes find Richard and Judy’s book club picks a bit hit-and-miss.

This isn’t a particularly mind-blowing read but it is a good, entertaining one for fans of thriller, detective and mystery genres - be warned though, I still felt there were loose threads at the end.
Whilst lacking in some originality - there were some really interesting questions like. What happened to Maryanne? What are both father and daughter hiding?
I found the ending a little predictable but I also enjoyed the several twists that got us to that point.
