For a debut novel, I'm gobsmacked at the complexity and gripping nature of this book. When Cat was younger, a girl named Maryanne Doyle went missing in her hometown. She's convinced her dad had something to do with it.
Years later, she's working as a police officer when a young woman is found murdered. Surprisingly, the body is found near her dad's pub.
Did her dad have something to do with both women? Or is Cat being paranoid?

This book switches between the present and past, but is done so beautifully that you're able to easily follow both tenses. The characters are great, you fall in love with Cat and her vulnerability.

Overall, this was a little different to what I thought it would be but I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish! Highly recommend.
