I bought a copy and then won a copy of this book which I'm not mad at because it means I can pass it on to more people.
The back of the book doesn't tell you much but I was really gripped from the first chapter. I like a good murder mystery so it was up my alley. The writing style is really nice, quite casual but enough to keep you gripped on the story. Makes it a quick read but not a boring one.
I really like the character although I felt it fell into a bit of the bad cop cliche I felt quite attached.
I enjoyed the sections that were clearly cats diary as a child and I think they showed her suspicions really well.
I felt it was a bit obvious, by the end I already figured out who the murderer was, and the other plot twist at the end, but I still enjoyed the story and would definitely recommend reading it! It's got enough to keep you interested without getting annoyed at how long it's taking.
