My biggest problem was the typos and words that didn’t belong in sentences, etc. I wanted to get out a red pen and make proofreaders marks! It detracted from what was a really good story!!
Honestly, that was my biggest pet peeve with the book. The sentence structure issues, etc.
I liked the plot. The story held my interest. I wanted to FINISH the book and get to the ending to find out what happened. It kept me enthralled. However the typos, sentence structure mistakes, etc., threw me off. I had to “let it go” and continue with the story by a very conscious decision to ignore the mistakes.
Also, the wind down at the end of the book could’ve been more concise. It felt anti-climatic. I felt that Caz Frear had real potential as a great author - she just needs an agent/book seller to proofread and give some advice so that the flow is smoother. I want to read more from her!
