This was a genuinely fantastic read, I couldn't put the book down!
I thoroughly enjoyed how the book tackled sensitive and taboo issues with the protagonist being forced to question her version of events when provided with new information. It also very cleverly illustrates how the views and opinions of a child can be molded by those around you.
I also appreciated how the protagonists personal life intertwined with the case she was working on (something that the police were unaware of when assigning her the case). This added another dimension to the book which made it more intriguing to read and made every twist and turn in the book take on extra significance.
Overall, considering this is a debut novel I think that this is a fantastic book and I cannot wait to see what other books Frear writes!
