I think younger children will enjoy the illustrations and basic information about food and its origins, with appeal to older children. The book could be used for increasing appeal of 'new' foods to picky eaters, looking at where food comes from and why groups of people have traditionally eaten what they have.
Personally I don't think the cover gives the book justice for being as informative as it looks.
