Colourful!
I read a lot of food and travel writing, and this seemed like a colourful and exotic way of bringing food history to a wider audience. I love that there are seemingly authentic recipes included in the mix and I appreciated that the book was divided into clear sections/countries - I would be able to read this in bitesize chunks alongside my current novel.
The cover wouldn't necessarily attract me to the book, but it fits well with the contents.
