I would give this 3.5 stars (so have rounded down).

It's a lovely looking book, with colourful pictures and lots of fun information which would be a great source of learning for a child.

However, as a cookery book I can't see how this would work. The book is massive - A3 size - which in my mind makes it a little unwieldly to take into the kitchen. It wouldn't really fit on my counter once open and I had pots and pans out.

There are 58 recipes ranging from breads to gingerbread to quacamole. Many of the recipes look tasty and I would like to try them out, although there are some ingredients I'm not too familiar with as I am not a chef (for example dulche de leche) but many of them look simple.

But to be honest, I think the size of the book as a cook book for me is too big. It won't fit on my book shelf, and definitely won't fit on the shelf with the recipe books so my first question is where will I put it?
