Well first impressions...this book is that big it wouldn't go through my letterbox! After rescuing the parcel from my wheelie bin, I was amazed at the size and weight of this book.
Given that this is aimed at children, it's been safely passed on to my nine year old daughter - but not before I'd had a good look at it with her.
This is a lavishly illustrated, large scale hard back book. It's well referenced and easy for children to locate countries or recipes via the index at the back.
There's much to learn here, whether it be interesting facts about a particular country or finding out more about traditional food. There's plenty of recipes so you can have a go yourself, something I'm sure we will also do soon!
This book would make a fantastic gift for any child who loves cooking or learning about other countries, I can't recommend it enough. Also, the illustrations are fab!
