The book is illustrated in such a fun way and cover so many fun details about different cuisines. It's not at all comprehensive and a bit biased towards certain cuisines over others (it would be huge otherwise) but nevertheless if you're in any way interested not just in world foods but also in learning their origins and history this is a great book for just flipping open and learning something new in a fun way from time to time. The illustrations are colourful and imaginative and every page has loads of details. I had originally thought to give this away as a Christmas present but liked it so much that I thought I'd keep it for myself and take some time flipping through for myself! The cover is reflective of the interior of the book - all in all a fun and information and highly imaginative piece that would be a joyful addition to any coffee table or bookshelf.
