First of all, I really wasn’t expecting this book to he the size it is. It’s huge! But, that adds to its charm because the cover and illustrations are stunning. As I was reading it, it really did feel like you could jump right into it! I loved that bit!
Then, I also loved the history. Ok, this is a book about foods from around the world but it was really insightful to see the history behind different fruits and dishes. It’s clearly been well researched and covered the whole globe too which is remarkable.
I then love how the book was organised. It makes it really user friendly and easy to dip in and out of. It’s not a book that provides a linear read; rather a book that provides reference and suggestions.
Lastly, the recipes from around the world also create a lasting impression. I’ve learnt so much from this that I will be sharing it with others. It’s a truly unique reading experience.
