This is a very good sized book which offers a brilliant mix of geographical information primarily from a food based perspective with a fantastic selection of recipes from around the world in each section. Every page is packed with detail be it colourful pictures or information, I think for most children it’s probably best to ‘take a bite’ of each country at a time as it really is filled with information. I’m not sure what age range I’d say this is best for as some younger children may enjoy it being read to them and cooking some of the recipes with an adult otherwise it’s best for more confident readers. It’s certainly a book that will be gone back to again and again whether for the general information or the recipes, one point worth mentioning though is that the recipes do use American measurements so you will need cups or a conversion chart.
