My first thoughts of thus was wow its huge but ya' know what it's the perfect size for the book. Any smaller and you wouldn't be able to see the intricate drawings contained inside each page.
The recipes are fun and the kids are willing to try and experiment making them once a month or every few weeks.
The book is great for learning and there's even a few things that I've said out loud "oh I did not know that" so it's been a great read for all of the family.
My favourite page in the book is pages 40 and 41 with information about Mexico. I have tried the beef tacos recipe on these pages and the spicy tomato salsa and think they are simply divine.
Also finding out that the original chocolate was first made in Peru.
I love the idea of celebrating the day if the dead also and seeing the "dia de Los muertos" part of the page made me extremely happy. Egypt pages are also interesting and when the kids learn about it at school it would be fab to help them out! (Hint hint)
