I'm giving this book 4 stars instead of 5 just because of the sheer size of it. It's so impractical because it just doesn't fit on any of our book shelves and that really annoys me. For this reason I'd say it would definitely be more suited to belonging in a school or library.
The content was fabulous however. I really enjoyed finding out about the food and its origins from all of the places around the world. Living in a very multicultural area, I found it really interesting to learn about the types of food My friends and neighbours would typically have and enjoy in their countries of origin.
My boy was interested in trying some new foods which is always a bonus. Many of the recipes sound delicious and the accompanying illustrations were really helpful too.
All in all a great read for promoting understanding of diversity of cultures but more suited to an educational setting.
