I really like this book, it's so much fun!
When the package arrived at my door, I have to say, I was surprised at the size of it - it's a large book, and hard back too! But that said, I actually think the size makes this such an accessible read and one that I know so many people are going to enjoy. The paper and print is really good quality and I think this would make an excellent gift, I'd have loved this as a child!
What I like the most is that the pages are both educational and interesting, without being in a traditional narrative. It's like a fun text book to help you learn about the foods and cultures of many different people around the world. The illustrations are beautiful and supplement the information really well.
I really enjoyed the timeline at the end of the book, it's really interesting to consider the age of some of the foods we know and love!
