Firstly, I'd just like to say thank you to readers first for sending me a copy of this book for signing up!

So, generally speaking I don't tend to pick up this genre, but after reading the first chapter I couldn't put it down. It was a lot darker than the cover suggests, it was addictive and had me guessing constantly, and I ended up reading this in only a few hours!
Thank god for Manny and his crew for adding pops of humour into the story to take the edge off all the darkness. It was definitely appreciated and not something I was expecting -- It also sets it apart from other crime/thrillers I've read because of the humour.

Chris Whitakers' writing was easy to read and captivating. I didn't get bored or find my mind wandering at all and found I was completely engrossed in the story. I was convinced I knew who 'dunnit' but I was wrong and the ending took me a bit my surprise.

I didn't give this a full 5 stars purely because the ending was wrapped up a little too quickly for my liking, although it still worked as a whole -- I just wish it wasn't so sudden.

Overall, I'd highly recommend this. It's funny, sad, dark and full of diverse characters. And quoting the cover 'Everyone is a suspect' -- this couldn't be more true!
