One of the best books I’ve read in a long time. I really enjoyed the protagonists storytelling throughout and the end really made me want to read again to piece together all the signs I’d missed. Have picked up the second book by the author as I wanted to see if their writing is as gripping as it was in tall oaks.
This book really gave you the feel for a parent who was in Turmoil over her child, it allowed you into her mindset and gave you chance to suspect as many people as possible around her. The intertwining stories of over town folk also made it enjoyable. It also set a scene for someone you’d hope not to suspect but creeps up the list. This is a book I have passed onto a friend in hopes they’ll enjoy it too.
