This story kept me wanting more. A young boy goes missing and no matter what happens no one seems to be able to find him. While highlighting the strong feelings of loss that his mother is feeling, the author also highlights the lives of others in this small town. He picks up on a teenage boy who is protective of his mother as since his father left he feels like he needs to be the man of the house. Although he won't show his soft side to his friends. A policeman who feels something isn't quite right. A woman trying to move on with her life and find something that will make her happy. A man with his own mental difficulties with a very ill mother who tries to hide him from the real world. The horrible boss that feels sorry for him but still takes advantage, the pretty boy with the muscles that has a girlfriend yet still gets any woman he wants. Everything you would expect in a small little town, but with an ending you will never see coming.
