I have a bit of a "thing" for Tudor/Elizabethan historical fiction so I was really looking forward to this one. Mayhap I was looking forward to it a little bit too much as I have been left feeling a little flat by it. Although, the First Impression does leave you on a nice little cliffhanger it must be said.
This appears to be a slow burner of a book so I haven't dismissed it out of hand as it has the potential to become unputdownable. I just hope it reaches that potential.
