I really like the way that the scene is set from the first paragraph, taking you back in your minds eye to that era. The description of the boy makes you feel that you are stood watching over him and the book, i believe, will be filled with emotions throughout as it is all related to the finding of the body of a child. It will be quite brutal just as it would have been in the 1500's. The book is centered around Nicolas the mortician and his pregnant wife Eleanor, Nicolas fears for his unborn child as disease and malformations in newborns are at an all time high.
I really do enjoy historical mysteries and am looking forward to reading it, I feel that it will be a book which will keep me engrossed to the end.
