I really wanted to love this book as the idea sounded completely fascinating. But from very early on, the writing just didn't work for me. Still, I held out, hoping for a fun read, only to wind up hating the characters instead. Not the result I'd been hoping for.
Maybe I'd have liked the story better if I'd seen this as a film or something, but the way the characters' thoughts were written just sadly didn't work for me.
That said, I can see how others would enjoy this one. It didn't feel too tropy though the idea of the book itself felt like something you might find in a typical rom-com. I think I was just hoping for something more along the lines of that typical rom-com idea.
So not one for me, but I do recommend checking it out if it at all sounds interesting to you, as it really does have a great premise. I just won't be checking out any more books by this author myself.
