This is the first book by Tory Henwood Hoen. It’s set in new York! A place I long to visit. The Arc is a dating service with a difference - 7 days cut off from the world, no phones, WiFi or daylight but a lot of meditation a 1001 questionnaire. Ursula is hoping finding out more about herself and giving up everything for 7 days will help her find true love. How much would you spend on finding the one? Ursula spent $50,000 on the arc to find her true love! It started a bit slow for me, I did take a long time to read this book, I felt there was a lot of information poured out in one go about Ursula’s upbringing which I thought could have leaked out at various times throughout rather than a lot at the beginning when we are just learning about Ursula and who she is in present day. The story picked up and I really got into it and enjoyed it after about 25% in. I found the characters a little weird, but in a good way they weren’t perfect, they had fun, the were new and refreshing you don’t get a lot of characters like these in books so it was really nice. I would read books by this author again in the future and I would recommend this book
