On my first impression of the title and cover, I wasn’t expecting a Black Mirror-esque vision of the future of dating, but as a huge fan of the above-mentioned TV series, I was pleasantly surprised to realise that this novel was about a strange new concept for meeting your soulmate (but nowhere near as dark)!
Contemporary romance mixed with cutting-edge sci-fi intel, this imaginative and entertaining novel will have you questioning what the future of dating might hold.
While we now think nothing of logging into dating apps, a mere ten years ago most of us could not have imagined the extent to which they would be widespread.
The Arc isn’t a digital app, but a service that aims to architecturally design your perfect relationship. By going through rigorous and invasive physical, emotional and psychological tests, they promise to find you your ideal match. But is it as failsafe as it’s made out to be?

Ursula and Rafael are desperate enough to try it, and the novel follows their love story.
It’s hilarious at times, with a tongue-in-cheek look at millennial culture, modern city life and the marketing industry.

The Arc doesn't seem like such a wild idea now but I am not sure I'd put it in charge of my romantic life!!

Since reading this I’ve found myself getting addicted to the TV show Married at First Sight, and even if it’s full of manufactured drama, ‘The Experts’ on the series remind me so much of the Arc’s Relationship Architects.
The concept of how they are matched is also pretty similar, and I would recommend this book to fans of the series and vice versa!

Thanks to Readers First, Atlantic Books and Corvus Books for the ARC of The Arc 😅👍
