I thought the book started out very well at first and I was super intrigued at how The Arc would find a match for Ursula. Ursula was definitely an interesting character and I understand she was meant to be written as this quirky person but her personality did feel over the top at times. I did enjoy the pacing of the book and didn't think it was too slow or fast. The development of Ursula's and Rafael's relationship was fairly interesting to read although a bit too lovey-dovey at times.

However, as the book carried on, I felt that at some points, Hoen elaborated too much on some details and created scenarios that didn't feel like they were necessary. There was a lot of elements surrounding Ursula's life (her job, her mom, her friends, The Stake, her work with Mike etc.) and I felt that it sometimes pulled my attention away from the main plot rather than supported it. And afterwards, I am left a bit disinterested in what's next.

Overall, it was a quick read and I was pretty invested in Ursula's and Rafael's relationship but wished that The Arc focused on that storyline more.

Nonetheless, I'm still thankful for Readers First for providing me with a copy of the book!
