The world of dating feels like it's becoming increasing digital so the premise of this book felt really fresh and relevant. The Arc is a dating service on steroids, a dating service that guarantees to find you your perfect match.
Sounds great in theory but can it really work?
Ursula and Raphael are about to find out - between them they've spent 90 thousand dollars and are putting all their trust in The Arc.
It seems as though they've made an amazing choice too, neither have felt such an instant connection to a partner before. Can a dating service really anticipate the ups and downs of human relationships, is it possible to guarantee that the couple can negotiate all the bumps and still be together 18 months later? How can a dating company be so certain?
That is this book in a nutshell. The two main protagonists are likeable and flawed. Ursula seems to be having a crisis of confidence in her career and perhaps the book does feel a bit like a therapy session at times but it is very very readable, thought provoking at times and not what I expected at all.
All in all a really fun read.
