Beware: this review may contain spoilers!

Hi everyone! It’s Ilenia, back with a review for *The Arc* but Tory Henwood Hoen. This book comes out today, but I was lucky enough to win an early on Readers First.

My rating:⭐⭐⭐⭐.⭐

*The Arc* is the story of Ursula and Rafael, two adults who are close to giving up their hope on dating. But they enter the Arc, an exclusive (and expensive) service that assesses a person in every possible psychological and physical aspect to find their perfect match. However, the Arc cannot predict how every relationship goes.

If I am honest, I wasn’t expecting much from this. The story sounded quite interesting, but I wasn’t sure what direction it was going to go. But I found myself quite caught up in Ursula and Rafael’s story, that I finished this book in less than a week!

First and foremost, the concept of the book is quite interesting: a service that finds your perfect match for life. Who wouldn't want that?

Second, the characters are so lovable, three-dimensional: Tory Henwood Hoen writes real characters, with relatable flaws and struggles. Ursula, with her workaholic traits, love for her cat and commitment issues, is a spontaneous character who takes pride in her power and makes the most of it to

Third, the settings of the story are great, and completely plausible, in particular the ones in New York ( I would love to visit the Stake!)

I loved the simplicity and rawness of Ursula and Rafael’s relationship, which was incredibly cute and romantic, without being overwhelmingly cringy. Henwood Hoen wrote a real couple that has their incredibly sweet moments, and their spiralling arguments.

I really enjoyed the book, but it would have been even better if we had more about the future of Rafael and Ursula’s relationship, like a wedding, or a few years in the future. Yet, overall it was great.

And can we talk about how beautiful the cover is? The illustration is so neat and the colours go so well together! Sprayed edges that match the cover would make this book *elite*.

*The Arc* is a sweet, romantic tale of modern love, told through realistic and relatable characters.

This book is perfect for lovers of rom-coms, romance and contemporary fiction. A great, swift read for incurable romantics!

Let me know what you guys think of *The Arc* when you read it. And should I try making sprayed edges?

Allons-y,

Ilenia
