I enjoyed the early chapters of this story and think they set the scene for what promises to be a very interesting addition to the crime fiction genre. I'm sure it will be a dark and rather gruesome story with some interesting characters. Although the narrative is fast-paced, the writing didn't in any sense feel rushed. I liked the clever title but was less keen on the cover - it's unlikely that I would have felt drawn to it in a bookshop.
