The first chapter, set in an upmarket coffee is really creepy and, as the blurb says, it does make you think about your online privacy settings. Chapter 2 brings us the familiar trope of a detective starting work at a new station where she know she is going to face prejudice and distrust - Not because she is female but because she investigated her predecessor, a corrupt copy. And then the horror begins when an art installation turns out to be just a little bit more lifelike, if not alive, than the organisers expected. Very promising start, bring it on!
