If you like your crime books dark and gritty, then look no further!

Grace Archer is on her first day as on the job as DI at Charing Cross station, she has an induction to test her skills like no other.

An art installation is revealed at Trafalgar Square - 3 glass cabinets containing the bodies of homeless men in formaldehyde are unveiled. The 'artists' name is @nonymous and they promise that more installations are to come.

Archer and her new colleague DS Harry Quinn have more than one battle on their hands. Archer is the reason that the last DI was removed from their post and her team won't make this investigation easy for her.

The tension mounts are more murders are live streamed and their bodies put on display. Can Archer and Quinn catch this depraved killer before he catches them?

This book starts out as a white knuckle ride and doesn't let you go. I devoured this book. I really liked Archer, she had some deep rooted issues that I would love to revisit and delve further into in future instalments. Quinn is a great sidekick. He has some major flaws too, but all with good reason. They make a great team that would most definitely reel me back in! There was some unlike-able characters that you just love to hate (the pompous DI Hicks being one!) and the story was original in the way that the killer used social media to catfish the victims and then display them.

Fennell writes like a seasoned pro. For a debut novel this is a smasher. He's knocked it out of the park!

A brilliant 5 star read for me.
