I enjoyed this book so much, it kept you on tenterhooks the whole way through and you just didn’t know who you could trust. I suspected most of the characters at one time or another and this is down to the superb writing.
I can’t believe this is a debut because it was so good, I’m definitely excited for his future books!
DI Archer is a really good character and one that you like from the get go, I was very suspicious of DS Quinn and feel that there is something about him that just doesn’t sit quite right with me.
You start this book with a chapter from the killers perspective which I really liked because it makes you feel like you are getting to know them and then makes them seem like a ‘normal’ character.
Having a few chapters from this perspective throughout the book broke up the police chase and you feel like your getting a behind the scenes as such.
There were a few times I felt like shouting at the characters not too do something because of how much I got into this book
