The Art of Death has been one of my favourite books this year and think that it will be a difficult one to top! I was drawn to the blurb as I enjoy a meaty and gripping thriller and a great serial killer story is tough to beat. I was also pleased to note that the author (David Fennell) is Northern Irish as I have a very soft spot for that wee country! I was hooked right from the beginning. The storyline is very well considered and cleverly written. There is a great build up of tension as the story unfolds, you’ll definitely feel your heart racing! It is unapologetically shocking in parts yet still maintains a very readable prose that keeps the reader engaged and eager to keep reading. I liked the simplicity of the cover design and felt that it elegantly matched the plot. I felt that the Art of Death has more than lived up to the rave reviews on social media and I am very excited to read more from David
