Creepy, atmospheric and ready to keep you on the edge of your seat.

From the word go this book starts strong and powerful, with lashings of creepy character and tonnes of suspense. The idea that murder - and then the display of the murdered body - could be seen as art is what motivates the killer, along with other twisted reasons, and the narrative is cleverly constructed to almost be as persuasive as it is nausiating.

The collectioon of police officers working the cases are an interesting selection. While obviously narrative makes things biased, we see through the eyes of DI Grace Archer, who is faced with this 'art' on her first day, how her own demons, both mental and physical, are following her around to add to the burden of solving such a terrifying case.

This was a solid four star read for me; well built, easy to jump into, and hard to put dow.
