Detective Inspector Grace Archer is starting a new job on the day the first victims are discovered. Having previously arrested on of the Inspectors she is not the most popular new arrival!
Grace has a history of herself being the victim of a serial killer. She was abducted as a child but was the only victim to escape.
The characters are well drawn and escape many of the cliches of the serial killer novel.
I really enjoyed this. I did guess whodunit but it did not detract from my enjoy of the book!
I shall be looking out for the next book by David Fennel . Hopefully he will continue with these characters as I want to find out more about Archer and her sergeant.
