I thoroughly enjoyed the book The Art of Death by David Fennell. The story is about an underground artist whose art is shocking to say the least. Nothing is known about them except that they are known as @anonymous and have a following on social media. What his followers and the public are unware of, is that his art installations are actually dead people, who he has murdered specifically for his themes Detective Inspector Grace Archer's first day at her new job is fraught with problems. Her team are hostile and do not trust her, whilst Grace herself, carries the burden of being the only survivor of a notorious serial killer, when she was a child. She is known as "the one that got away". There is a lot of action in this book and it is fast paced. You get to meet the victims and discover why and how he chooses them. There is also the animosity of her fellow colleagues that Grace has to deal with as well as look after her elderly grandfather and appease her estranged boyfriend. I loved the character DS Harry Quinn, her sidekick and liked all the twists and turns of the plot. The story also acts as a warning to be vigilant of your online presence, as you never know who is watching and whether they are who they say they are.
