I was delighted to get a copy of The Art of Death and have to say that it was incredibly difficult to set this book down. It begins in a cafe where we get a sense of something sinister about to begin with plenty more to follow. We then move forward to a rather shocking exhibition and are introduced to Grace Archer and Harry Quinn. Grace has made a bit of bad name for herself by uncovering a rouge cop with the department she is now about to start working in. There’s no time to dwell on this as she’s straight onto a rather macabre case! This was a terrifically gripping read which grabbed my attention from the off and wouldn’t let go! The story was very clever and worked really well. I liked how it was clearly carefully thought out. I look forward to reading more books by David Fennell, he will definitely appeal to thriller fans and I’m sure this will do really well!
