Intriguing
The Art of Death by David Fennell is entirely chilling and yet immensely intriguing. Though this writing style and particular genre isn't something I am particularly used to reading, I decided to give it a go for a change (the cover also drawing me in) and I was most certainly not disappointed by the snippet I read.
Within the first few sentences I found myself captivated and eager to know more as my attention was brought straight to the supposed killer and his thoughts as he sat calmly within a coffee shop. The book is quite fast paced so you're not to find yourself bored or struggling to understand the plot as the pace is constantly flowing - however for me, I wasn't too sure about this particular aspect.
Moreover, the tension is persistent and has you on edge as the series of events unfold and I can't say I've read any fiction that has crimes such as these. But this is considerably a good thing as it does open the reader up to something much more unique.
Overall, I did enjoy it mostly and would like to see what happens and how the characters develop more.
