The book opens with perspective of the artist known by the pseudonym @nonymous who’s looking for inspiration and several muses for his latest art project. The artist in question leaves the cafe he’s stationed at for a big reveal of his latest collection; 3 murdered homeless people displayed in see through boxes in London. We follow the story through the eyes of potential victims and the gruesome deaths are investigated by newly promoted DI Grace Archer and her partner Harry Quinn, and their team fight against the clock as more bodies start being exhibited across the London landscape.

There’s an overwhelming sense of macabre throughout the novel with graphic deaths and fast-paced detective work before the next instalment of the artists collection can be completed. I was so hooked I kept thinking “okay one more chapter before I go to sleep” and then reading five or six more (anyone else have this problem?)

I actually finished this book in two sittings, and it reminded me so much of YOU, and novels by T.M Logan where there’s a sense of eeriness that leaves you unsettled. It was gripping and really made me second guess the things I share on social media. It’s captivating, creepy and emotionally distressing in the best way; if like me you’re a sucker for a psychological thriller or are sucked in by TV shows like Broadchurch, this is right up your alley
